Green Bay... Lambeau Field

June 22, 2016  We couldn't leave the area without going to legendary Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers.  I didn't think it would be much different than any other football field.  Maybe it was the guide, maybe not, but I got a little rapt up in it's history and the way the fans feel about their Packers.

This was on a fence across the street from the parking lot.

Can you believe Aluminum Bleacher Seats, in an outdoor stadium, in the winter, in Wisconsin???

The field itself is heated to extend the growing season for the grass.  the Turf is Kentucky Bluegrass that is woven with a synthetic grass to help maintain the surface structure.  It has a name...DD GrassMaster

Well, there are heated areas to melt snow.
